ADHD Therapy and Coaching

Living with ADHD can affect the way you plan, prioritize, regulate emotions, manage time, and move through daily life. At Wise Mind, we help people better understand how ADHD impacts their unique brain so they can work with it.

Our therapists combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), practical executive functioning strategies, and education about the neuroscience of ADHD to create an approach tailored to your needs. Rather than relying on one-size-fits-all solutions, we help you discover the tools, routines, and strategies that fit your life while building the flexibility to adapt when challenges arise.

Founders Matt and Jeremy both grew up with ADHD and bring professional expertise and personal insight into the challenges and strengths that often accompany it. Their goal is to help you move beyond cycles of frustration and self-doubt, develop practical skills that last, and build a deeper understanding of how your mind works so you can thrive with confidence.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Everyone experiences difficult thoughts, emotions and experiences, but our goal is to keep you moving forward, even when they’re present.

ACT helps you develop a different relationship with anxiety, self-doubt, and uncomfortable emotions. Instead of getting stuck fighting your thoughts or waiting until you feel ready, ACT teaches you to acknowledge difficult experiences with openness while choosing actions that align with what matters most to you.

Together, we'll identify the values that guide your life and develop practical strategies to help you respond to challenges with greater flexibility and resilience. Whether you're setting healthy boundaries, navigating anxiety, or working through a life transition, ACT empowers you to build a life driven by purpose rather than fear.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are deeply connected. CBT helps you recognize unhelpful patterns, challenge beliefs that no longer serve you, and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. As you gain greater awareness of these patterns, you'll build practical skills that improve emotional well-being and create lasting change.

When appropriate, we also integrate Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), an approach especially helpful for people who struggle with shame, self-criticism, or feeling like they're never good enough. By combining mindfulness, neuroscience, and compassion-based practices, CFT helps calm the nervous system while cultivating a kinder, more supportive relationship with yourself. As self-compassion grows, it becomes easier to face life's challenges with confidence, resilience, and emotional flexibility.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Trauma often affects the way you think, feel, and relate to others, long after the experience itself has passed. EMDR is an evidence-based trauma therapy that helps your brain and body process painful experiences so they no longer define your present.

Through this approach, the brain naturally reprocesses distressing memories, reducing their emotional intensity so they become less overwhelming over time. Rather than erasing the past, EMDR helps you move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and freedom.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is a compassionate approach that recognizes we all have different parts of ourselves. Some parts protect us, while others carry the pain of past experiences. By approaching these parts with curiosity instead of judgment, IFS helps reduce inner conflict, strengthen self-compassion, and reconnect you with your authentic self. Together, these approaches support deep healing while helping you build a greater sense of safety, balance, and emotional well-being.
